HERO Act

This bill creates several programs to support the mental health of law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical workers, 9-1-1 operators, and health care providers. It sets up a system at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to track suicides among public safety officers. It also creates grant programs to fund mental health and wellness support within fire departments, emergency medical services agencies, and for health care providers.
