Defense Against Drones Act of 2025

This bill would allow people to shoot down drones with legally owned shotguns if they reasonably believe the drone is flying 200 feet or less above their property. The shooting must follow state laws about firing guns. If someone shoots down a drone and can see its registration number, they have 60 days to report the location and number to the Federal Aviation Administration. People can choose to return the drone to its owner if asked, but they don't have to.
