JUDGES Act of 2025

This bill would create 64 new federal district court judge positions across 14 states, with most of the new judges added gradually over 10 years starting in 2029. Texas would get the most new judges (13), followed by California (20), and Florida (9), while several other states would get between 1-5 new judges each. The bill also requires courts to hold sessions in two additional locations—College Station, Texas and El Centro, California—and directs government offices to report on court workloads and make certain judicial reports available online.
