Saving Our Veterans Lives Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to create a program that gives firearm lockboxes to eligible people who ask for them. The VA currently has a smaller pilot program where some veterans can get lockboxes if a VA doctor prescribes one. The VA must also make an educational video about safe gun storage to prevent suicide and put it on their website. The bill requires the VA to tell people that the lockboxes cannot be resold and to run a public campaign explaining that getting a lockbox does not affect someone's legal right to own firearms.
