Sarah Debbink Langenkamp Active Transportation Safety Act

This bill changes a federal road safety program to include more projects that protect bicyclists and pedestrians. It allows funding for projects that connect existing bike or walking paths and for safety improvements in areas identified as high-risk for people walking or biking. The bill also lets the federal government pay up to 100% of the cost for certain safety projects, such as adding bike lanes, walkways, or better-lit crosswalks, instead of requiring states to cover part of the expense.
