VOTE Act

This bill would require states to use only English on ballots for federal elections if they want to receive certain federal election funds. The bill would also remove current requirements under the Voting Rights Act that some areas must provide ballots and voter registration materials in languages other than English for voters with limited English skills. States that provide ballots with text in any language besides English would not be able to get federal election administration money.
