Smoke Exposure Research Act of 2025

This bill tells the Agricultural Research Service to study how smoke affects wine grapes. The research must be done with colleges in California, Oregon, and Washington that have already studied smoke and wine grapes. The research will identify which compounds cause smoke damage, create standard ways to test grapes and wine for smoke exposure, build a database of natural smoke compounds in grapes, develop tools to reduce smoke damage, and study compounds that can protect grapes from smoke.
