To prohibit the use of Federal financial assistance for a certain high-speed rail development project in the State of California, and for other purposes.

This bill would stop California from getting federal money for a high-speed rail project. The ban applies to any project in California that is the same or very similar to a specific rail project that had a federal agreement in 2011. That earlier agreement was for California's high-speed rail program, which aimed to build trains that could go faster than 200 miles per hour between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The federal government ended that 2011 agreement in 2019.
