Tribal Trust Land Homeownership Act of 2025

This bill creates new rules for how the Bureau of Indian Affairs handles mortgage and land documents on tribal trust land. The BIA would have to notify lenders when they receive documents, review them within 10 days, and approve or reject them within 20 to 30 days depending on the type. The bill also sets time limits for the BIA to complete title reports and requires them to notify people about delays. It gives federal agencies and tribes access to view the BIA's land management computer system, requires a government report on making documents digital to speed up mortgages on Indian land, and creates a new Realty Ombudsman position within the BIA.
