Airmen Certificate Accessibility Act

This bill lets pilots show a digital version of their required certificates, like their airman certificate or medical certificate, when asked by a Federal Aviation Administration inspector, instead of having to carry the physical paper copies. Right now, pilots are required to have physical copies of these documents on hand if asked by the FAA, law enforcement, or certain other officials. Under this bill, pilots could show either the original paper copy or a digital copy saved on an electronic device or in cloud storage. The FAA would be required to update its rules to put this change into effect.
