National Landslide Preparedness Act Reauthorization Act of 2025

This bill extends funding through 2030 for a government program that studies and prepares for landslides. The program will now be required to include weather events like atmospheric rivers and extreme rainfall in its planning, and some funding must go toward setting up early warning systems in high-risk areas. The bill also allows tribal and Native Hawaiian organizations to receive benefits from the program and requires federal agencies to use better elevation data when mapping areas that might be at risk for landslides.
