Eastern Band of Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act

This bill puts certain lands in Tennessee into trust for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The lands include the Sequoyah Museum, the Chota Memorial, the Tanasi Memorial, and surrounding areas used for cultural programs. The Tennessee Valley Authority keeps its rights to control rivers and flood parts of these lands when needed, and the TVA must approve any new buildings in flood areas. The bill also says the TVA must be paid back for any lost power generation from future development, requires the TVA to continue environmental cleanup work, and does not allow gambling on these lands.
