Federal Employee Return to Work Act

This bill would stop federal government employees who work from home at least one day per week from getting their usual annual pay raises. Right now, federal workers get yearly pay increases based on changes in private sector wages and differences in pay between their local area and other places. Under this bill, employees who telework 20% or more of their time would not receive these pay adjustments. The changes would start at the beginning of the fiscal year after the bill becomes law.
