Protect Local Farms Act

This bill changes how federal and state laws work together for farm workers' hours. Currently, states can make laws that give farm workers overtime pay after working fewer than 60 hours per week. This bill would stop states from doing that - it would require that farm workers must work more than 60 hours before getting overtime pay. Under federal law, farm workers generally don't get overtime pay at all, but some states have been allowed to give them better protections.
