This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide mental health care to certain veterans within five days of when they ask for it. The requirement applies to veterans who have a service-connected mental disorder that is rated at 50% disability or higher. The care would be provided through the Veterans Community Care Program, and the VA would need to change its current access standards to meet this five-day timeline.
