Georgian Nightmare Non-Recognition Act

This bill stops federal officials from using government money or taking actions to recognize Bidzina Ivanishvili or any Georgian government he leads or controls. The bill says the United States must recognize Georgia's president who was in office before the October 26, 2024 elections as the only legitimate leader of Georgia. The President can cancel this policy if leaders from the U.S. Helsinki Commission confirm that Georgia has held free and fair elections.
