FUTURE Networks Act

This bill requires the Federal Communications Commission to create a 6G Task Force that will write a report about sixth-generation wireless technology. The task force will study how the industry is setting standards for 6G technology and what this technology might be able to do and what its limits might be. The task force must include people from communications companies, public interest groups, schools, and different levels of government. The FCC chair will choose the members, but generally cannot pick people who work for companies controlled by foreign enemies or that might threaten U.S. national security.
