Secure Space Act of 2025

This bill stops the Federal Communications Commission from giving satellite licenses or earth station permits to certain foreign companies that are considered security risks. Earth stations are ground-based radio stations that talk to satellites. The bill specifically targets companies that make or provide communications equipment or services that the government thinks could threaten national security, such as Huawei Technologies Company and ZTE Corporation. It also prevents these companies from getting permission to let their foreign satellites communicate with U.S. ground stations.
