Expanding Appalachia’s Broadband Access Act

This bill asks the Government Accountability Office to study whether the Appalachian Regional Commission could use low-orbit satellites to help bring internet access to the Appalachian region. The study would look at how well satellite internet works and whether it is cost-effective for businesses and economic development. The results of the study would be reported to Congress.
