Hunger-Free Future Act of 2025

This bill stops the Department of Agriculture from making changes to the Thrifty Food Plan that would increase food insecurity, which means more households not having enough food because they lack money or resources to buy it. The Thrifty Food Plan is used to set the maximum monthly benefits for the food stamp program (SNAP). Currently, the Agriculture Department must review and update this plan every five years based on current food prices and other factors.
