Fire Safe Electrical Corridors Act of 2025

This bill allows the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to let electric companies cut down trees and other plants near power lines on government lands more quickly. Electric companies can do this as part of their existing permits without needing separate approval to cut timber. If the companies sell any of the trees or plants they remove, they must give the money to the government agencies, minus transportation costs. The tree cutting must follow existing land management plans and environmental laws.
