Undersea Cable Control Act

This bill requires the President and the Department of Commerce to stop foreign adversaries from getting equipment needed to build, maintain, or operate undersea cables. Foreign adversaries are foreign governments or people who do things that hurt U.S. national security. The President must try to make agreements with U.S. allies to help prevent these adversaries from getting this equipment. Commerce must figure out what export controls should apply to this equipment and create a plan to keep it away from foreign adversaries. The President must report to Congress each year about this plan.
