Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act

This bill requires the Department of Labor to create a new safety rule for healthcare workers, social service workers, and similar jobs. Under this rule, employers would have to make plans to prevent workplace violence, investigate violent incidents when they happen, and train their employees about workplace violence. Hospitals and nursing facilities that want to participate in Medicare would have to follow these new safety requirements.
