New Producer Economic Security Act

This bill creates a new program within the Farm Service Agency to help new farmers, ranchers, and forest owners get started. The program will give grants and funding to organizations like state governments, tribes, nonprofits, and colleges, which will then provide direct help to qualifying farmers and ranchers. To qualify, people must either be new to farming (operating for 10 years or less) or be economically disadvantaged, and foreign-owned corporations cannot receive assistance. The help can include money to buy land, secure property titles, and improve soil and water, as well as technical support for starting and maintaining farms.
