Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025

This bill would impose penalties on Russia and related individuals if the President decides that Russia or someone acting for Russia refuses to make peace with Ukraine, breaks a peace agreement, invades Ukraine again, or tries to overthrow Ukraine's government. If the President makes this determination, the bill requires several actions including blocking visas and freezing assets of Russian leaders and military commanders, raising taxes on Russian imports to at least 500%, raising taxes on imports from countries that trade Russian uranium and oil to at least 500%, freezing assets of Russian financial institutions, and banning exports of U.S. energy products to Russia.
