ASCEND Act

This bill gives NASA official permission to run a program that buys satellite data and pictures from private companies to help with Earth science research. NASA can make agreements to let other government agencies and people outside NASA use this satellite information. The bill says NASA must buy from American companies when possible, and the agreements cannot stop scientists from publishing the data or research based on it.
