Uyghur Policy Act of 2025

This bill directs the State Department to focus on helping Uyghurs and other minority groups in China's Xinjiang region. The State Department would work to get political prisoners released from that area and provide funding for human rights advocates to speak at public events about religious freedom and human rights issues affecting these groups in China. The bill also requires the State Department to offer Uyghur language training to Foreign Service officers and assign Uyghur-speaking staff to U.S. diplomatic offices in China.
