Remote Access Security Act

This bill changes U.S. export control rules to cover remote access to controlled items, not just physical exports. Remote access means when a foreign person accesses an item in the U.S. through the internet or cloud services from another location. The bill allows the Commerce Department to require licenses and impose penalties for remote access to controlled items, just like they do for physical exports.
