Staff Sergeant John D. Martek Purple Heart Restoration Act

This bill would allow veterans to receive the Purple Heart medal if they got a traumatic brain injury from an enemy attack starting December 7, 1941. To qualify, the veteran must either have a disability connected to the brain injury or have military records showing the injury happened. The military would need to create a way for people to apply for these Purple Hearts and give them to veterans who qualify, no matter when their injury occurred.
