Hands Off Medicaid and SNAP Act of 2025

This bill creates a rule that makes it harder for Congress to pass certain budget bills. The rule would block budget bills that cut Medicaid enrollment or benefits, or that reduce SNAP (food stamp) eligibility or benefits. These budget bills normally get special fast-track treatment in Congress, but this rule would create an obstacle for ones that make these cuts. The rule would last until January 20, 2029.
