Michael Enzi Voluntary Protection Program Act of 2025

This bill makes an existing program at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) an official part of the law. The program, called the Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP), lets employers who set up approved workplace safety plans skip certain routine OSHA inspections, but they must still do yearly self-checks and allow OSHA to visit their worksites. Employers in the program cannot be charged fees to join or participate, and OSHA must spend at least 5% of its yearly budget on running the program. The bill also requires the Department of Labor to come up with a plan to update the technology used in the program.
