Chaco Cultural Heritage Area Protection Act of 2025

This bill sets up a protected area around the Chaco Culture National Historic Park in New Mexico. Within this protected area, the government would not be allowed to give out new leases on federal land for mining, drilling for oil or gas, or developing geothermal energy. Any existing oil and gas leases in the area that are not currently being used would be canceled.
