NO TIME TO Waste Act

This bill directs the Department of Agriculture to work on reducing food loss and waste in the United States. The bill defines food loss as food that doesn't reach consumers due to problems during production, storage, processing, or distribution, while food waste is food meant for people that goes unconsumed at stores or by consumers. The Agriculture Department would create a new Office of Food Loss and Waste that would run several grant programs to help states, local governments, and tribes collect data on food waste policies, build food recovery systems, and form partnerships to cut food waste in half by 2030. The office would also run a national education campaign about food loss and waste.
