SAP Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to ask maple industry stakeholders what research and education topics are most important to them for a program called the Acer Access and Development Program. The Department must consider this input when deciding which grants to award through the program. The bill also extends funding authorization for this program through 2030. The Acer program gives competitive grants to states, tribal governments, and research institutions to support the domestic maple syrup industry through research, education, and promoting sustainable natural resource practices.
