SOAR Act of 2025

This bill changes how Medicare pays for supplemental oxygen and related equipment and services. Instead of using a competitive bidding system, Medicare would make separate payments for oxygen equipment, supplies, and services that go up with inflation. The bill also covers services provided by respiratory therapists and gives them extra payment. Medicare must create an electronic form for doctors to use when prescribing oxygen equipment and services. People who get these services through Medicare would have the right to choose their supplier and receive clear information about their services.
