Green Star Families Act

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide free counseling services to family members and former caregivers of veterans who died by suicide. The VA can only offer these services if they are easy for people to access and are as good as or better than similar services the VA already provides. The VA can work with federal, state, or private organizations to provide these counseling services, and must publish information about the program online and give information to anyone who qualifies for help.
