Expanding Regional Airports Act

This bill tells the Department of Transportation to create a grant program for certain smaller airports. The grants would help general aviation airports and nonprimary commercial service airports that serve communities with at least 75,000 people. Airports could use the money to expand passenger screening areas, make runways longer, build hangars, improve passenger facilities, and meet security requirements. The Department of Transportation would give out 3 to 10 grants each year.
