PFAS–Free Procurement Act of 2025

This bill stops government agencies from signing new contracts or renewing old ones to buy certain items that contain two specific chemicals called PFOS and PFOA. The items covered are non-stick cookware and cooking tools, plus furniture, carpets, and rugs with stain-resistant coating. Both PFOS and PFOA are types of man-made chemicals called PFAS that may harm human health. The bill also says agencies should try to buy these items without any PFAS chemicals when possible.
