BRAVE Burma Act

The BRAVE Burma Act extends and expands sanctions on Burma through December 2032. The bill requires the President to check each year for seven years whether certain Burmese companies and people working in Burma's jet fuel sector should face required sanctions. The U.S. must work to limit Burma's voting power at the International Monetary Fund while the current military government is in control. The President must also appoint a Special Envoy for Burma who will coordinate all U.S. policies toward Burma, including sanctions and aid to the Burmese people.
