Improving Helicopter Safety Act of 2025

This bill would ban civil helicopters from flying within 20 miles of the Statue of Liberty in New York. There are exceptions for flights related to public health and safety, such as law enforcement or medical services, as well as for heavy-lift operations that support construction and infrastructure work. The Federal Aviation Administration would be required to create or update rules to put this ban into effect.
