No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act

This bill would stop federal funding to states and local governments that don't share information about people's citizenship or immigration status with federal authorities. It would also cut funding if these places don't cooperate with immigration detainers from the Department of Homeland Security or don't notify federal officials when someone is released from custody. The funding restrictions would only apply to money that these governments plan to use to help people who are in the country illegally. The bill includes an exception for policies that protect crime victims or witnesses who come forward.
