MOMS Act

This bill makes several changes related to support for pregnant women and mothers. It requires states to collect child support payments during pregnancy if the mother requests it, and allows these payments to be applied going back in time. The bill creates grants for nonprofit organizations to provide services to pregnant women, new mothers, and women with young children, including help with healthcare, childcare, and finding jobs. It also provides grants for healthcare providers in rural and underserved areas to buy equipment for remote prenatal and postnatal care visits. Additionally, the bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to create a public website with information about nearby services and resources for pregnant women and mothers, including alternatives to abortion, and states must provide lists of adoption agencies to be included on this website.
