Certainty for Our Energy Future Act

This bill would end federal tax credits for generating electricity from wind and solar energy for projects that start construction after 2030. It would also block companies that are created under the laws of, or controlled by, the governments of China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea from receiving a wide range of energy-related federal tax breaks, including credits for things like clean fuel production, clean vehicles, hydrogen production, carbon capture, nuclear power, and advanced manufacturing. Those same entities would also be unable to claim tax deductions for energy-efficient building improvements or get refunds on certain fuel-related taxes they paid.
