TRAVEL Act of 2025

The TRAVEL Act of 2025 allows the Department of Veterans Affairs to assign doctors from the Veterans Health Administration to work as traveling physicians for up to one year. These doctors would provide healthcare to veterans at VA facilities in American territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The traveling doctors must work with non-VA healthcare providers when needed to make sure veterans get good, coordinated care. The VA must give these traveling doctors extra money as a bonus for relocating or staying in these positions.
