Railroad Responsibility Act of 2025

This bill would allow states to make laws that limit how long railroad companies can block road crossings with their trains. Currently, federal courts have generally said that state laws about blocked crossings cannot be enforced because federal transportation laws override them. This bill would change that by saying federal laws do not prevent states from setting time limits on blocked crossings.
