Courthouse Affordability and Space Efficiency Act of 2025

This bill sets rules for how the General Services Administration must manage courtrooms in federal courthouses. It requires judges to share courtrooms instead of each having their own. For example, in large courthouses with 10 or more district judges, there must be 2 courtrooms for every 3 judges, and in courthouses with 3 or more bankruptcy judges, there must be 1 courtroom for every 2 judges. The bill also says GSA cannot build new courthouses that don't follow these sharing rules, and if a new courthouse is built, any existing unused space in the same area must be fully used or given up.
