LIP Enhancement Act of 2025

This bill changes the Livestock Indemnity Program to cover unborn livestock that die along with pregnant animals. The program pays livestock owners and contract growers for animal deaths beyond normal rates or reduced sales prices caused by events like bad weather, disease, or animal attacks. The change applies to losses of unborn livestock that happen on or after January 1, 2025.
