Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act

This bill changes rules about state car emission standards under the Clean Air Act. Currently, states need EPA permission to set their own car emission rules, but this bill would stop the EPA from approving any state standards that limit the sale or use of cars with internal combustion engines. The bill also requires the EPA to cancel any such approvals it gave between January 1, 2022, and when this bill becomes law.
