Veterans Community Care Scheduling Improvement Act

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to create an electronic system for scheduling health care appointments, both at VA facilities and with outside doctors through the Veterans Community Care Program, within two years of the bill becoming law. The VA would also have to train its scheduling employees on the new system, set goals to measure how well it works, and reach out to non-VA doctors to encourage them to use it. The bill also extends a rule that limits pension payments for certain veterans who are staying in hospitals or care facilities through June 30, 2033.
