Veterans Community Care Scheduling Improvement Act

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to set up an electronic system for scheduling health care appointments, both at VA facilities and through outside community health care providers. The VA would have two years to get the system running, must train employees on how to use it, and must create ways to measure how well it's working. The bill also encourages non-VA doctors who participate in the Veterans Community Care Program to use the new electronic scheduling system. Finally, the bill extends a rule that limits the monthly pension to $90 for certain veterans living in Medicaid-funded nursing homes who have no spouse or child, pushing the end date from January 31, 2033, to June 30, 2033.
