Medal of Sacrifice Act

This bill tells the President to create a medal of sacrifice for law enforcement officers and first responders who die while doing their job. The President would also set up a commission to help design the medal and decide how to give it out. To get the medal, officers and first responders must be federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial workers who were not officially found to have done something wrong in their duties. If an officer or first responder was found to have acted improperly, they usually cannot get the medal, but the commission can investigate their case and make a final decision about whether they should receive it.
