Medal of Sacrifice Act

This bill requires the President to create a special medal to honor law enforcement officers and first responders who are killed while doing their jobs. It also calls for the President to set up a commission that would help design the medal and decide how it will be given out. To be eligible, officers and first responders must work at any level of government and must not have been found to have done something wrong, like acting outside their duties or breaking official rules. If there is a question about whether an officer or first responder did something wrong, the commission must look into the circumstances of their death and make a final decision about whether they qualify for the medal.
